Question 1

Do you really offer free roof inspections?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We come out, inspect the full roof, and give you documented photos of any damage at no cost and with no obligation. If your roof is fine, we will tell you honestly.

Question 2

How fast can you come out after a storm?

Accepted Answer

After a major South Texas storm, we put emergency calls first and aim to get a crew out quickly for temporary protection. A full inspection follows right after.

Question 3

Will you help with my insurance claim?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We document the damage, meet your adjuster on site, and communicate directly with your insurance company. You should not have to fight the claim alone.

Question 4

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

AP Roofing is licensed, bonded, and fully insured. We carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage on every job.

Question 5

What kind of shingles do you install?

Accepted Answer

For South Texas weather, we recommend hail-rated Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and cool-roof options that reflect Texas heat. We will walk you through the choices.

Question 6

Is financing available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Financing is available, so you can pay for your roof over time instead of all at once. We will walk you through the options that fit your project before you commit.

Question 7

How long does a roof replacement take?

Accepted Answer

Most homes are finished in a single day. Larger or steeper roofs may take two days, and we give you a clear timeline before we start.

Question 8

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Victoria and serve homeowners and businesses across South Texas, from cities and towns to rural communities. Call us and we will confirm your area right away.

Question 9

Do you do commercial roofing too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We install and repair TPO, modified bitumen, and metal roofing systems for South Texas businesses, HOAs, and property managers.

Question 10

How often should I have my roof inspected?

Accepted Answer

In South Texas, once a year is a good baseline, plus after any major hail or windstorm. Regular checks catch small problems early.

Question 11

How long does an inspection take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential inspections take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the roof.

Question 12

Will you try to sell me a new roof?

Accepted Answer

No. If your roof is fine, we will say so. Our reputation in South Texas depends on honest assessments, not pressure.

Question 13

How soon should I get my roof inspected after a storm?

Accepted Answer

As soon as it is safe. Hidden damage gets worse with every rain, and most insurance policies set a deadline to file a storm claim, so a fast, documented inspection protects your home and your claim.

Question 14

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rate?

Accepted Answer

Insurers typically treat storm and hail claims as acts of nature, not at-fault claims like a car accident. Rates depend on many factors, and we are happy to walk you through what to expect before you file.

Question 15

Do you provide emergency tarping?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your roof is actively leaking, we can tarp it to protect your home while we schedule the full repair or replacement.

Question 16

What if the damage looks minor?

Accepted Answer

Hail damage that looks minor is usually not covered by shingle warranties and can still lead to leaks. We document everything so you can make an informed decision, with no pressure.

Question 17

How does no upfront cost work?

Accepted Answer

On approved storm claims, your insurance pays for the covered repair beyond your deductible. We bill the work in line with your claim, so you do not need a large payment to get started.

Question 18

What if my claim gets denied?

Accepted Answer

Denials happen, sometimes because of incomplete documentation. We can review the decision with you, provide thorough evidence, and help you understand your options for a re-inspection or appeal.

Question 19

Do you work with all insurance companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have worked with the major carriers that serve South Texas homeowners, and we communicate with adjusters from any company.

Question 20

Should I get an inspection before I file?

Accepted Answer

It helps. A documented inspection tells you whether you have a legitimate claim before you file, so you do not open a claim for nothing.

Question 21

Will applying affect my credit?

Accepted Answer

Many of our lending partners let you check your options without a hard credit pull. We will point you to the right path when you apply.

Question 22

Are there prepayment penalties?

Accepted Answer

The plans we work with have no prepayment penalties, so you can pay your roof off early if you want to.

Question 23

Can I combine financing with an insurance claim?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Financing is a common way to cover a deductible or an upgrade that goes beyond what insurance pays. We will help you sort out what applies.

Question 24

What roofing materials do you recommend for South Texas?

Accepted Answer

For storm protection, we usually recommend hail-rated Class 4 impact-resistant shingles. When energy savings and longevity matter most, we recommend cool-roof or metal options.

Question 25

Will you protect my landscaping during the job?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We protect your property, keep the job site clean, and finish with a magnetic nail sweep so your yard is safe afterward.

Question 26

Can every roof be repaired instead of replaced?

Accepted Answer

Not always. If the roof is near the end of its life or the damage is widespread, a repair is only a short-term patch. We lay out the honest tradeoff so you can decide.

Question 27

How fast can you fix an active leak?

Accepted Answer

We prioritize active leaks and can often get out quickly to stop the water, then schedule the permanent repair right after.

Question 28

Will the repair match my existing roof?

Accepted Answer

We match materials and color as closely as possible. Some difference in weathering is normal on older roofs, and we set expectations up front.

Question 29

Who is a maintenance program right for?

Accepted Answer

Anyone who wants to extend the life of a newer roof or stay ahead of problems on an older one. It is especially valuable for commercial and rental properties.

Question 30

How much does a maintenance plan cost?

Accepted Answer

Plans are priced by roof size and how often we visit. After a first inspection, we will quote a clear annual price.

Question 31

Does maintenance really extend roof life?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Catching small issues early prevents the water intrusion and structural damage that shorten a roof's life.

Question 32

What happens if you find major damage?

Accepted Answer

We document it and explain your options. If it is storm related, we help you start an insurance claim.

Question 33

Why do seamless gutters matter?

Accepted Answer

Seamless gutters have far fewer joints, so there are fewer places to leak or clog. They are formed to fit your home exactly.

Question 34

Do I need gutter guards in South Texas?

Accepted Answer

If you have trees nearby, yes. Guards keep debris out so your gutters can handle heavy Gulf Coast downpours without overflowing.

Question 35

Can you replace gutters during a roof job?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is often the most efficient time to do it. We coordinate both jobs so everything lines up cleanly.

Question 36

Do you repair gutters or only replace them?

Accepted Answer

Both. If a repair or resloping will solve the problem, we will recommend that over a full replacement.

Question 37

Do you work around our business hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We plan commercial projects around your operations to keep disruption to a minimum, including phased work when needed.

Question 38

Can you handle property management portfolios?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with property managers and HOAs across multiple buildings, with consistent documentation and a single point of contact.

Question 39

Do you offer commercial roof maintenance contracts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Scheduled maintenance extends the life of a commercial roof and catches small issues before they interrupt your business.

Question 40

Can you help with a commercial storm claim?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We document commercial storm damage thoroughly and work with your carrier's adjuster, just as we do for homeowners.

Question 41

How long does a metal roof last?

Accepted Answer

A properly installed standing seam metal roof commonly lasts 40 to 70 years, well beyond the 15 to 25 years typical of asphalt shingles.

Question 42

Is a metal roof noisy when it rains?

Accepted Answer

No. Installed over solid decking and underlayment, a modern metal roof is no louder inside than a shingle roof. The loud tin-roof sound comes from open-frame installs, like an old barn.

Question 43

Will a metal roof help with my energy bills?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Reflective metal and cool-roof finishes bounce back solar heat, which can meaningfully lower cooling costs in a South Texas summer.

Question 44

Does metal roofing hold up to hail and hurricanes?

Accepted Answer

Metal systems carry strong impact and wind ratings and are among the most storm-resilient options for the Gulf Coast. Very large hail can still leave cosmetic dents in some panels.

Question 45

Can I put a metal roof on my home, not just a business?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We install residential metal roofs, including profiles that look like shingle or tile, as well as commercial and agricultural systems.
